FAQs

What do you recommend if I'm new to Pilates?

We HIGHLY recommend all new clients start with our New Client Package, especially if you have never done Pilates before. This package starts with a postural analysis so the instructor can identify your muscular imbalances and program your workouts accordingly.

You will then be taught the STOTT Pilates 5 Basic Principles. We use the same 5 principles for every single exercise we do. It's really important to have a good understanding of these principles so you can get the most out of your workouts by knowing how to do the exercises properly.

You will also have the opportunity to share any past/current injuries or limitations you may have.

The instructor will teach you what props you should be using to ensure proper alignment, and any modifications you should be doing to protect yourself. This is extremely beneficial if you plan to transition into group classes.

If you don't feel comfortable quite yet, the New Client Package is great way to build your strength and knowledge of Pilates so you can walk into your first group class confidently!

How do I book a Duet Lesson?

Duets can be scheduled upon request and typically work best when you bring a friend or significant other.

If you don't have a partner that wants to come with you, you can still request to book. However, it is not guaranteed we will find a match for you that has the same fitness level and availability.

What do I wear? Do I need to bring my own mat?

Any clothing you would typically work out in, leggings, tanks, sweats or shorts. Pilates is typically done barefoot. You can wear socks if you'd like, but no gym shoes are required.

All equipment will be provided for you.

Where are you located?

In the Westfield/Fox Valley Mall circle, in the same strip center as Basils and Hopvine Brewing Company. We're in the back right corner and kitty corner to the antique store. There's a big purple sign above us that says: "PILATES"
